WHAT IS THE CANDIDATE ACADEMY?
The Candidate Academy is designed to inform and educate individuals in the Anderson Area who are considering running for an elected office or simply want to better understand the election process.
The 2-Session course outlines the basic issues, requirements, expectations and practices associated with various types of public service in the Upstate.
Academy participants will learn what is involved in running a successful campaign, serving in public office and building coalitions.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Current public officials
Private citizens considering running for public office
Individuals appointed to various boards, committees & commissions
Employees in a position that requires interaction with elected officials
Nov. 5: Session 1 - "So You're Considering Running for Office"
Nov. 12: Session 2 - "Your Campaign - The Foundation"
Cost
Cost will cover both sessions and will include a light meal
$40 - Members
$45 - Non-Members
